Vegetable Zucchini Black Beauty
The Ultimate Summer Squash
Zucchini Black Beauty is the gold standard of zucchini — a vigorous, incredibly productive heirloom variety that has been a garden staple for generations. Its deep, glossy dark green fruits are tender, mild, and versatile in the kitchen, while its bold yellow flowers are a stunning bonus that are delicious stuffed or battered and fried.
Why You'll Love It
- Exceptionally productive — one plant can feed a family all summer
- Deep, glossy dark green fruits with tender, mild flesh
- Harvest small (15–20 cm) for the best flavour and texture
- Beautiful golden flowers that are edible and great for stuffing
Growing Tips
Plant in full sun after the last frost in rich, well-draining soil. Zucchini needs space — allow at least 90 cm between plants. Water deeply at the base and avoid wetting the leaves to prevent mildew. Harvest frequently — the more you pick, the more it produces. Don't let fruits get too large or production will slow.
Sold as a starter plant, ready to transplant into your garden or large container.
